Our Beers

Brasserie du Bocq makes exclusively beers from raw materials of first quality.
This is the case for malt (that determines the colour of the beer), hop (that gives the bitterness and the aroma), yeast (which transforms the sugars into alcohol and carbonic acid) and water which purity is essential.

The know-how of the brewery is mainly based on the production of special top-fermentation beers with refermentation in the bottle. This method safeguards the caracteristics of the raw materials and guarantees the natural character of the beers produced without any chemical additives or preservatives.

Beers are living products !
To assure an optimal preservatives, keep the bottles in a fresh area (cellar temperature), sheltered from light and in a vertical position (so that the yeast remains at the bottom of the bottle).

The art to serve and taste a special beer.
Choose an appropriate glass, dry and skimmed (its cleanness is of the utmost importance for the head of the beer).
Serve at a temperature between 7° and 12°C (4°C for white beer).
Keep the glass slightly sloping and pour out slowly so that the yeast – evidence of secondary fermentation in the bottle - remains in the bottle.
Regarding the BLANCHE DE NAMUR, fill up the glass half and, before emptying the bottle, shake it to detach the yeast in order to enjoy the entire aromatic variety.
Look at the head, admire the colour and the vivacity of the beer and …. savour slowly.
